THE AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS OFFERING NEW SUBSTANTIAL REBATES ON HOME BATTERY SYSTEMS, BEGINNING JULY 1, 2025.
This $2.3 billion program aims to support over one million new battery installations across Australia by 2030, delivered through the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES), similar to the existing solar rebate scheme. The rebate will apply to new battery systems between 5-50kWh usable capacity, whether connected to an existing solar system or installed with a new one.

Details are still unfolding but potential savings of approx $3000-$4000 on a typical battery system will be available in this new government rebate.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a battery to your existing system, now is the perfect time to take advantage of this program.
